The neighbourhood of Parkland is in the southern quadrant of Calgary. It is one of the smallest areas in Calgary. It is 1.8 km or 0.69 square miles, with a population of 4000.
The neighbourhood of Parkland consists of individuals, couples, and families. Homes vary in price from $375,000 to $850,000. The square footage ranges between 1,200 to 3,000.
The Parkland neighbourhood has a few different architectural designs, including- Traditional, Modern, Bungalow, Craftsmen, and of course, Traditional condos. While there are other styles of homes in Parkland, most of them seem to fall in one of the categories listed above.
The homes in the Parkland neighbourhood come with a lot of land and privacy. Being such a small area, the homes for sale can be limited.
While there are several schools for Parkland students, only two schools are in the Parkland neighbourhood.

Parkland has plenty of things for its residents to do year-round.
Fish Creek Park — Enjoy bird watching, biking, and walking.
Sikome Lake — Sikome is a great place to spend the day with family and friends. You can swim, go boating, sunbathe, enjoy a picnic lunch, or hang out and visit or catch up.
Outdoor activities in the winter months include cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, and hockey.
Deer Valley Mall — Is the largest shopping centre in the southern part of Calgary. They have over a hundred shops, restaurants, barbershops, hair and nail salons, and entertainment for children, such as an arcade.
Macleod Trail — The trail is a part of the highway with several retail stores, fast food restaurants, fine dining, movies, bowling, pubs, concert/play centre, and numerous other activities. Not all of them are in Parkland, but the trail runs right by the town.
Public transportation heads to downtown. There are four LRT stations about 5km from Parkland. You can go anywhere you want on the way to downtown Calgary including any stops along the way, of which there are many. You can find doctors, dentists, veterinarians, and all types of specialty businesses and retailers on each of the four routes. Making getting around Parkland and the surrounding area accessible.
Parkland is a nice neighbourhood that is close to downtown. It has lovely homes, great schools, and plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy.
