Cranston Real Estate

Cranston is in the southeast quadrant of Calgary. Fish Creek Park is to the south, Bow River to the west, and Stony Trail to the north. It is 8.3 km or 3.2 square miles, making Cranston a small to medium-sized neighborhood, but it still has plenty to offer residents. It has a population of 10,000.

The Cranston neighbourhood is made up of primarily middle-class families and couples. Still, there are also individuals in the community — people of all cultures and walks of life who reside in Cranston.

Cranston neighbourhood is another community that has a wide range of prices for real estate. At the lower end of the real estate bar is $200,000, and at the higher end is $999,000, while in between, several homes fall into the $400,000 range. The square footage also ranges between 1,300 and 15,000 square feet. Many of the homes have lovely lawns and some seclusion from their neighbors. Condos generally sell in the $200,000 range, some maybe even higher depending on how many bedrooms/bathrooms and the amenities offered by the Condo board.

Cranston has more schools than you might think for being a small to medium-sized neighborhood with a population of only 10,000.

Like most of the surrounding neighbourhoods, the residents enjoy the same activities such as swimming, boating, fishing, sailing, Jet skiing, picnics, biking, hiking, and festivals are all summer activities the residents enjoy.

During the winter months, skiing, tubing, hockey, ice skating, and snow moiling are popular.

Residents have a few shopping malls, strip malls, restaurants, pubs, and theater shows, and all sorts of entertainment performances.

Residents also enjoy a day at the park. The Zoo is extremely popular. There are several museums of all types in and around Cranston and, of course, in Calgary to visit. There is so much to do it’s unlikely the residents would get bored in this neighbourhood.

Many people opt to drive themselves, but public transportation is available. There are two bus routes and a train route, both of which can take you to the main hubs and from there you can go anywhere you want.

Cranston neighbourhood is nice to live with lots to do to keep busy, excellent schools for your children, and it is a family-oriented neighbourhood.
